September 30, 2026 - Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson aka "CMAT"
Wednesday, September 30 · 35 min · ★ 5.7 on TMDB
Jordan Klepper breaks down the headlines, including an AI summit in Washington that left us with exactly the same amount of federal AI regulation (read: none). Also, former Trump prosecutor Jack Smith appears before the Senate to answer questions about his "misconduct", and Republican Sen. Eric Schmitt falls on his proverbial ass on live TV when his ambush of Smith backfires spectacularly. By the way, did anyone see that Atlanta Hawks game? Neither did Jack Smith. Irish musician Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson aka "CMAT" joins Jordan to discuss her acclaimed third album, "Euro-Country". They talk about how she weaves profound lyricism with Western melodies, what it means for her music to embody "funeral humor", why the Irish psyche loves country music, and how the title track examines the repercussions of politicians' actions.
