Privacy Policy

Effective November 5, 2026

What frames keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

  • You sign in with an email code, Apple or Google. A password is optional.
  • Your profile is public unless you make it private. Your email never is.
  • No ads and no ad trackers.
  • You can download or delete everything, any time.

What we keep

To run your account we keep your email, your name and username, your photo if you add one, and what you do on frames: what you follow, watched and scored, your lists, posts and replies, who you follow, and your notification choices.

You sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Apple or Google. You can add a password too; we only keep a scrambled version of it that can't be turned back into your password.

Where it lives

Your account and everything in it is stored with Cloudflare, which runs our servers, database and image storage. Emails are sent through Cloudflare. Push notifications go through Apple.

Who sees what

  • Your profile, posts and lists are public unless you make your profile private.
  • Your Watching shelf and night streak can be hidden in Privacy settings.
  • Badges, like your member number, can each be hidden in Edit profile.
  • Your email is never shown to anyone.

Linking credits and verification

If you link your credits or apply to be verified, we keep what you send us to check it: the profile link, the code you posted, and the email of anyone on your team who confirms. A person on our team reviews it.

Counting visits

We count page visits in aggregate so we know what is useful: the page, a rough device type and country. We don't keep your IP address for this or use it to follow you around.

There are no ads on frames and no ad trackers. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

Your choices

  • Download everything you put on frames from Settings › Account.
  • Delete your account from the same place. Your profile, posts and lists go with it.
  • Turn notifications and emails on or off in Settings › Notifications.
  • Block or mute anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove it, except what the law makes us keep and backups that age out on their own. Your member number is never given to someone else.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell you in the app and by email before it applies. Questions: hello@frames.watch.
